Personal Letter
Dear
How are you? Hope you are doing fine. I'm writing this letter to say that you are your mother. Do you miss me too? Too bad we can't spend the holidays together. I spent the holidays in the Lembang area about 20 km from downtown Bandung, West Java. To be precise, I went to one of the tourism sites there, namely the Bogor Botanical Gardens. one of the tourist attractions located in West Java Province, Indonesia. About 20 km to the north of Bandung City, with lush pine trees and tea gardens around it, Bogor Botanical Gardens has a beauty.
that can attract tourists to come because of its many beautiful trees and flowers. Let me tell you about my tour in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. I spent about 8 hours from home on the toll road to get to Bogor Botanical Gardens by car. I arrived at the location in the afternoon. After arriving at the Bogor Botanical Gardens. Its beauty is beginning to be felt. Bogor Botanical Gardens offers a panoramic beauty of the mountains with cool air and there are other attractions in the form of flowers that can be photo spots.
The local folk legends Edit Which tells the origin of Bogor Botanical Gardens.
A brief history of Bogor Botanical Gardens?
Bogor Botanical Gardens was originally part of the 'samida' (artificial forest or artificial garden) which at least existed during the reign of Sri Baduga Maharaja (Prabu Siliwangi, 1474-1513) of the Sunda Kingdom, as written in the Batutulis inscription. The artificial forest is intended for the purpose of preserving the environment as a place to maintain rare wood seeds. In addition to the samida, a similar samida was made on the border of Cianjur and Bogor (Ciung Wanara Forest). This forest was then left after the Sunda Kingdom was defeated by the Sultanate of Banten, until the Governor General van der Capellen built a rest house in one corner in the mid-18th century. In the early 1800s Governor General Thomas Stamford Raffles, who inhabited the Bogor Palace and had a great interest in botany, was interested in developing the Bogor Palace grounds into a beautiful garden.
With the help of a botanist, W. Kent, who co-built London's Kew Garden, Raffles turned the palace grounds into a classic English garden. This was the beginning of the Bogor Botanical Gardens in its present form.
It was a wonderful experience. However, it would be even more amazing and more fun if you were there. That's all I can tell about my holiday. I'll tell you the rest at a later time. Now that I have shared my holiday stories with you, how about you share your holiday stories too?
Send warm regards,
